Qualifications

• Paramedic scope of practice and regulatory knowledge for pre-hospital and hospital care.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Paramedic course with PM certification (Iowa/Illinois) or equivalent licensure.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• NIMS 100 preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred/required as indicated.
• PHTLS/AMLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely paramedic-level care across age groups per protocol.
• Perform advanced airway management and medication administration.
• Assist in ED with assessments, vitals, IVs, ECGs and documentation.
• Drive and operate ambulance safely; cover on-call events.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; restock after runs.
• Complete post-call patient care documentation.
