Job summary

Advocate Health’s Emergency Department in Macon, GA is seeking a Paramedic to provide high-quality pre-hospital care and safe patient transport. You will administer IV solutions and medications under medical control, coordinate with receiving facilities, and document all EMS activities accurately.

The role requires a high school diploma with EMT and Paramedic training, a valid driver’s license, and state certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and EMT/Paramedic training.
• Valid driver's license and state certifications.
• Ability to work under stress and irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Administers IV solutions and medications under Medical Control.
• Maintains communications with Medical Control to assure appropriate care.
• Relays patient information to receiving facility.
• Ensures safe transportation of the patient to a medical facility.
• Documents ambulance trips, charges, and signatures as required.
• Maintains ambulance equipment daily and ensures readiness.
• Reports maintenance problems to crew leader or director.
