Job summary

Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, GA, is seeking a Paramedic for Transport Services on a full‑time basis. The role involves 40 hours per week with a day shift and 12‑hour rotations, providing advanced life support and prehospital care.

You will perform assessments, administer meds, manage airway/cardiac procedures, and document care and handoffs carefully. Required are an active Georgia paramedic license, BLS/ACLS, a valid GA driver's license, and at least one year of paramedic

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Paramedic license in good standing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a paramedic or in an ALS environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support EMS care per protocols and medical direction.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and initiate interventions.
• Administer medications and manage airway, cardiac monitoring, and defibrillation.
• Ensure safe patient handling and proper body mechanics.
• Complete accurate documentation and handoffs per standards.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with driving policies.
• Communicate with patients, families, providers, and receiving facilities.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and restock supplies.
• Participate in required training and quality improvement.
