Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking Paramedics to provide life support and transport patients to hospital or field sites, while adhering to safety guidelines.

In a 911 environment you will respond to emergencies, administer advanced procedures such as intubation and defibrillation, and coordinate with physicians and command centers. A Virginia certification is required and candidates with no experience are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Paramedic in Virginia.
• Certifications within one year of hire: AHA BLS HCP, ACLS, PALS, HazMat Awareness, NRP, and PHTLS or BTLS.
• No prior experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and eligibility to operate an emergency response vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stressful situations.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Compensation

Base rate starts at $25.77 and may reach up to $38.66 depending on qualifications and experience. Pension plan and other benefits are not included in this range.
