Job summary

Advanced Medical Transport in Peoria, IL is hiring PRN Paramedics to join our Emergency and standby response team. Paramedics perform ALS on patients, document care, and transport patients under policy guidelines while maintaining patient safety and patient rights.

Role requires IL Paramedic license, BLS CPR, ACLS/BTLS/PALS (or ability to obtain), a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Shifts include 12‑hour and 24‑hour options with bid twice yearly.

Qualifications

• Current Paramedic license in Illinois.
• Current American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
• ACLS, BTLS, and PALS certification or ability to obtain; instruction provided by AMT if not currently certified.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 100 pounds (subject to physical exam).

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide advanced life support when needed.
• Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights.
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment in accordance with company vehicle check-off sheets and inventory requirements.
• Operate and drive an ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws.
• Maintain current certifications according to provisions set forth by the governing licensure.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Present and promote a positive company image.
