Medics First in Springfield, IL is seeking PRN Paramedics to join our emergency and transport teams. You will provide advanced life support, respond to emergency calls, and perform interfacility transports while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, operating an ambulance, and adhering to licensure and certification requirements. A valid IL Paramedic license and BLS CPR are required, with ACLS/BTLS/PALS preferred or obtainable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Paramedic license in Illinois required.
• Current BLS CPR certification required; ACLS/BTLS/PALS preferred or obtainable via AMT.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide advanced life support when needed.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and patient rights.
• Transport patients per policies and procedures.
• Operate and drive an ambulance in accordance with safety policies.
• Maintain licensure and professional appearance; promote the company image.

We are a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.Our Paramedic team members are responsible for caring for patients in emergency response situations, during interfacility transports, and during standby events. Paramedics at Medics First work 12 or 24 hour shifts in our Springfield location.
