The Floyd EMS Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) works under the supervision of the EMS Director, Assistant Directors, Supervisor, and Medical Director. The EMT provides pre-hospital care to the sick and injured and ensures safe transportation to medical facilities. Under general supervision, the EMT offers basic to intermediate emergency and non-emergency care, including assessment, management, preparation for transport, and patient care, demonstrating teamwork and commitment to Floyd EMS standards for quality care and service.
