Job summary

Gateway Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a Paramedic on a PRN basis to be onsite at our Frisco, TX location to facilitate contrast injections. The on-site EMT/Paramedic will respond to adverse events, alert the radiologist via Teams, and ensure 911 is called when required.

Candidates must hold ACLS and current EMT/Paramedic license and provide proof of liability insurance and licensing. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a clinical setting are essential, with a focus

Qualifications

• ACLS certification is required.
• Current EMT/Paramedic license must be active.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate contrast injections onsite at Frisco, TX.
• Respond to adverse events and alert the supervising radiologist.

Gateway Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a Paramedic on a PRN basis to sit onsite to facilitate contrast injections at our location in Frisco, TX.

Job Summary:

If confronted with an adverse event (contrast reaction, infiltration or situation that requires the radiologist), the Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic should immediately use the Teams audio/video functionality to alert the supervising radiologist. The radiologist will assist with assessment of the patient and provide appropriate treatment instruction, including any medication administration. It is also the responsibility of the on-site contractor to ensure 911 has been called when necessary.

Items listed must be complete prior to onsite coverage.

• Provides documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license
• Completes MRI Safety Screening form
• Review of Emergency Response and MRI Safety training

Requirements:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
