Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging, LLC is seeking a dependable PRN MRI Technologist to join our team. You will produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images in a fast-paced outpatient setting and provide patient-centered care across multiple DFW imaging centers.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program, and has strong patient communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• IV certification and contrast administration experience preferred.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations following physician orders and imaging protocols.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience.
• Screen patients for MRI safety, implants, contraindications, and MRI compatibility.
• Safely administer intravenous contrast media per physician orders and protocols when indicated.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast administration and respond to adverse reactions.
• Operate MRI equipment safely while maintaining high image quality.
• Document patient information, imaging procedures, and contrast administration in the EMR.
• Maintain MRI equipment and report malfunctions.
• Follow MRI safety standards and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding care.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols
• Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience
• Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, contraindications, and MRI compatibility
• Safely administer intravenous contrast media in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols when indicated
• Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast administration, recognizing and responding appropriately to adverse reactions
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining exceptional image quality
• Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging
• Maintain compliance with MRI safety standards and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and contrast administration in the electronic medical record
• Maintain MRI equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations
