Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a PRN EMT-Paramedic to work night shifts in Del Rio, Texas. The role involves obtaining detainees' medical histories, recording vital signs, assisting with appointments, emergencies, and sick calls, and coordinating care with medical providers.

Requirements include BLS certification, EMT-Paramedic certification, at least one year of recent experience, local residency, and Tier 4 security clearance to start.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience within the last 24 months
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start
• Must be local

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities including vital signs.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call including taking vital signs and documenting detainee complaints.
• Documents all detainee contacts with signature and stamp.
• Ensures the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers as required.
• Performs record keeping in line with program policies.

Pay: $18.75 + $4.93/hr

REQUIREMENTS:

• BLS certification required.
• Must have and maintain current state Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification
• Must have at least oneyearexperience within the last 24 months.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local

Must be COMFORTABLE with all age groups 0-99.

TYPE OF WORK:

• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities including vital signs. Any medical problems are referred to the Physician, and/or NP/PA.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call to include taking vital signs and documenting detainee’s medical complaints.
• Documents all detainee contacts, followed by their signature and name stamp.
• Ensures the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers as required.
• Performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies.
