Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking PRN healthcare professionals to support detainee medical services. Roles involve obtaining histories, vital signs, and coordinating detainee care in a facility setting. Local candidates eligible to start will be considered for day, night, and weekend shifts.

Requirements include BLS and EMT-Paramedic certification, with at least one year of EMT experience in the last 24 months and local residency. Training and compliance with program policies are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current state Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification.
• Must have at least one year of EMT experience within the last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories and complete necessary paperwork for detainees entering the facilities, including vital signs.
• Assist with medical appointments, emergencies and sick calls; take vital signs and document detainee medical complaints.
• Document all detainee contacts with signatures and name stamps.
• Ensure implementation of medical provider orders.
• Coordinate health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinate referrals to off-site providers as required.
• Perform record-keeping in line with program policies.

Pay: $17.50+ $4.93hr

REQUIREMENTS

• BLS certification required.
• Must have and maintain current state Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification
• Must have at least oneyearexperience within the last 24 months.
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start.
• Must be local

Must be COMFORTABLE with all age groups 0-99.

TYPE OF WORK

• Obtains medical histories and completes necessary paperwork on detainees entering the facilities including vital signs. Any medical problems are referred to the Physician, and/or NP/PA.
• Assists with medical appointments, emergencies and sick call to include taking vital signs and documenting detainee’s medical complaints.
• Documents all detainee contacts, followed by their signature and name stamp.
• Ensures the medical provider’s orders are implemented.
• Coordinates health care needs of detainees with other staff members.
• Coordinates referrals to off-site providers as required.
• Performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies.
