Job summary

Qualifications

• State licensure requirements for EMT-Paramedic.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Basic IV therapy knowledge (in-state requirements).
• FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and test review (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies following SOPs and center physician orders.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unresolved issues or guidance on donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and determine if further evaluation is needed.
