Job summary

Fortrea seeks a Paramedic in Madison, WI to interact with healthy volunteers in an office/clinic setting. You will learn protocols, perform clinical duties, and support safety in Phase 1 studies.

You will provide basic to advanced care, monitor participants, document events, and collaborate with investigators and nurses in a fast-paced team environment. A valid Paramedic license and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• State Paramedic license or certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Prefer 2+ years as a Paramedic.
• Experience in emergent and non-emergent medical situations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary safety contact for study participants.
• Deliver basic and advanced medical care within scope of practice.
• Lead resuscitation and stabilization for life-threatening events.
• Monitor and document adverse events and safety assessments.
• Escalate safety concerns to the investigator as needed.
• Administer medications per protocol and site procedures.
• Perform blood collection, vital signs, ECGs, and related activities.
• Document procedures and observations in source records and systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and investigators.
