Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking an ED Technician II to support direct and indirect patient care under physician direction. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, comfort and nutrition, and performing selected tasks under established protocols.

The ideal candidate will hold EMT-P/Paramedic licensure in Virginia, have ACLS certification, and complete PALS within 90 days of hire. Preferred are NAEMT PHTLS or ACS ATLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia EMT-P/Paramedic certification/licensure.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification or equivalent within 90 days of hiring.
• NAEMT PHTLS or ACS ATLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision of a licensed physician and manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adequate supplies/equipment.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort/nutrition support.
• Collect data and assist with procedures as directed; function within SOP and protocols.
