Job summary

Gold Cross EMS, Inc. is seeking a part-time Paramedic in Jefferson County, GA, Louisville area. The role requires a valid State EMS License and active Georgia Advanced EMT or SC Advanced EMT with NREMT.

The position involves operating an emergency vehicle, patient care, and coordination with physicians per Gold Cross EMS protocols. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of streets, hospitals, radios, and pre-hospital procedures, along with experience in EMS teams and inventory

Qualifications

Must have a valid State EMS License.
GA Advanced EMT certification or SC Advanced EMT with National Registry.
Current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
Valid driver's license and MVR as per company policy.
One year EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate an emergency vehicle and provide medical treatment and stabilization under physician direction.
Know GCEMS patient care protocols and territory, and locate hospitals and EMS resources.
Maintain knowledge of medical codes, radio signals, and procedures as per GCEMS.
Participate in ongoing education and training as needed.
Inventory and account for drugs, IV fluids, supplies, and equipment.
Assist with unit and equipment readiness, and report deficiencies to the Field Supervisor.
Take command at scene per scope of practice when required and coordinate with on-scene personnel.
Work as a team with shared responsibilities; shift roles may rotate while care remains at higher level.
Drive to incidents safely as EVO with Due Regard under EMS vehicle ops guidelines.
Comply with all department and company policies, procedures, and protocols.
