Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic credentials are required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test is required.
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best action following Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image.
