Job summary

AMR in Central Arizona is hiring immediately for a Part-Time Paramedic. You will provide advanced pre-hospital care on 911 calls, drive an ambulance, and support community health initiatives as part of a dedicated public-safety team.

Candidates must hold a State Paramedic License, State Driver’s License, and current BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications. A compliant driving record and ability to pass a physical agility test are required for activation.

Qualifications

• Must have state paramedic license and valid driver’s license.
• Current BLS/ACLS and NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
• Pass a physical agility test.
• High school diploma or GED; some healthcare experience.
• Clean driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess calls and determine best action following paramedic protocols.
• Utilize equipment to provide advanced care (defibrillators, EKG, oxygen, IV fluids).
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the scene as paramedic team leader and manage unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR's image.
