Job summary

Lucas County Health Center in Chariton, IA seeks a full-time paramedic to work three 12-hour shifts per week (6 PM–6 AM) as the first-unit ambulance response, and to assist in ER, lab and respiratory care. On-call duties rotate with the opposite 12 hours; every sixth weekend (Sat-Sun 6 PM–6 AM).

Requirements include current Iowa paramedic license, Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months, a HS diploma or GED, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Current paramedic license in the State of Iowa.
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well
