Job summary

Lucas County Health Center in Chariton, IA seeks a registered nurse to supervise and direct nursing care in the Operating Room, Recovery Room and Central Supply, ensuring policy compliance and patient safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating OR activities across departments and reporting to the Administrator for professional performance and department management. This is a full-time role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
  • NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Mandatory Reporter certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Supervises and directs nursing care and all related activities of the Operating Room, Recovery Room, and Central Supply according to hospital policies.
  • Coordinates Operating Room activities with other departments and is accountable to the Administrator for professional performance and management of the Surgical Department.
  • Environmental control, personnel, medical staff assistance, materials and equipment, and administrative duties are included in responsibilities.

Job description

  • Performs all RN requirements as described in the RN job description
  • Supervises and directs nursing care and all related activities of the Operating Room, Recovery Room, and Central Supply according to the policies and procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the hospital and department
  • Responsibilities include aspects of environmental control, personnel, medical staff assistance, materials and equipment, and administrative duties
  • Coordinates Operating Room activities with other departments and is accountable to the Administrator for the professional performance and management of the Surgical Department
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
  • NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications
  • Mandatory Reporter certification within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
