Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an EMT-Paramedic to join the Emergency Medical Services team in Worcester. You will provide advanced care from patient intake to discharge, participate in Mobile Integrated Health initiatives, and support on-call physicians as needed.

Required MA DPH EMT-Paramedic certification, IBSC CP-C, CPR and ACLS, plus a valid driver's license. The role demands strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume EMS setting.

Qualifications

• EMT-Paramedic certification by MA Department of Public Health.
• ICP/CP-C IBSC certification required.
• CPR - Basic Rescue certification.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Administer family-centered medical care from admission to discharge.
• Perform patient assessments/reassessments per procedure.
• Respond to a range of emergency situations.
• Assess and manage acutely ill patients per EMS protocols.
• Assist physicians with treatments and tests as directed.
• Document patient care per procedure.
• Ensure quality and continuity of care with providers.
• Maintain MIH vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Communicate with leadership and other teams.
• Participate in professional growth and training.
• Respond to MIH program requests and determine care needs.
• Maintain readiness and coordination with MIH leadership.
