Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking an ER Technician II to provide essential patient care in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include assisting with direct patient care, operating basic lab equipment, and supporting discharge education for patients and families.

The role requires EMT-P certification (Texas or national), current BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days, with a preferred 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Texas EMT-P certification (license required) or National EMT-P Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assist with direct patient care to support patients and families.
• Operate laboratory equipment as ordered by the physician on duty.
• Assist with patient discharge and education.
• Support Emergency Services staff and align with hospital mission.

This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge and education.
