Methodist Health System is seeking an ER Technician II to support emergency services. The role involves basic patient care, aiding with treatments, and patient education under physician orders.

The technician may operate lab equipment and assist with discharge while upholding the system's mission and values. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, current EMT-P certification (Texas or national), BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days of hire; 1 year of related experience is preferred.

Formación

High school diploma or GED is required.
Current Texas EMT-P or National EMT-P certification.
BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications current or within 90 days of hire.
1 year of related work experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

Provide basic patient care and assist with direct patient care in the ER.
Support therapeutic treatments as ordered by the physician on duty.
Operate laboratory equipment and assist with patient discharge and education.

Job Description :

Job Purpose:

The ER Technician II is responsible for all basic patient care duties and assists with direct patient care to provide support services to the patients, families, and other Emergency Services staff. This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge and education.
Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Job Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Licenses and/or Certifications:

Current Texas EMT-P certification (license required) or National EMT-P Certification
Current Basic Life Support Certification required
Current Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire

Work Experience:

1 year of work-related experience - preferred
