Responsibilities

• Provide paramedic level pre-hospital care per NM Scope of Practice.
• Respond to emergency calls as ambulance crew member.
• Operate an ambulance safely under various weather conditions.
• Maintain ambulance, equipment, and supplies in proper working order.
• Participate in ongoing training programs.
• Navigate city/county geography for rapid response.
• Communicate with patients, families, and hospital staff professionally.
• Give talks on emergency medical services at schools.
• Conduct tours of station as requested.
• Assist preceptor in new employee orientation.
