Job summary

San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, NM is seeking an EMT to join our emergency services team. You will provide pre-hospital care, transport patients, and support ambulance operations, under NM scope of practice.

This role requires EMT licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS eligibility, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 kg. You will participate in ongoing training and contribute to community health by delivering compassionate, professional care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; NM EMT licensure required.
• DOT physical required per NM PRC.
• BLS certification as required by license.
• ACLS within 90 days; PALS within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license; driving record clean.
• NIMS IC 100/200/700/800 within 90 days.
• CEVO (obtained during orientation if not available at hire).
• EVOC within 6 months.
• Ability to safely lift 50 kg.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls as an ambulance driver or attendant and transports patients to medical facilities.
• Provides EMT-Intermediate pre-hospital care as delineated in NM Scope of Practice.
• Maintains ambulance, equipment, and supplies in proper working order.
• Completes and submits electronic patient care reports (ePCR) within 24 hours.
• Acts as a preceptor for new employees if assigned.
