Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Ohio is seeking a Paramedic to provide high-quality emergency and non-emergency medical care while working with experienced professionals in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Evening Shift-11:00A-11:00P offers hands-on patient care in the Emergency Department, with tasks such as 12 lead EKGs, ABGs, IV access, bedside testing, and patient preparation.

A Brief Overview

• You will assist patients and health care needs as directed by clinicians during Emergency Department visit including performing 12 lead EKGs, blood draws, initiate Hep-locks, bedside point of care testing, aerosol treatments.
• You will ensure the daily completion of point of care testing quality controls, defibrillator checks, refrigerator checks, transports.
• You will perform ABGs and gain IV access as directed by order.
• You will prepare patients and care environments for exam, specimen collection and anticipates needs of patients and providers proactively.
• You will perform delegated basic procedures as described by the competency based tool and orientation program.
