Job summary

Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Paramedic to join our Emergency Medical Services team. You will deliver high-quality pre-hospital care and intra-facility patient transfers in accordance with state protocols and Loyola’s standards of excellence.

Under supervision, you will assess patients, perform BLS/ALS as licensure permits, operate emergency vehicles safely, maintain documentation, and collaborate with clinicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Illinois Paramedic License in good standing.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification in good standing.
• ITLS or PHTLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Valid IL Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care and transport for sick or injured patients.
• Perform BLS and ALS procedures as permitted by licensure and protocols.
• Assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with medical personnel.
• Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment safely.
• Maintain documentation and uphold patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Participate in equipment restocking, vehicle cleaning, and continuing education.
