Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Paramedic to join our Emergency Medical Services team. You will provide high-quality pre-hospital care and inter-facility transfers under state protocols and Loyola’s standards.
This full-time role requires an IL Paramedic License, CPR, ACLS, ITLS/PHTLS or PALS, and a valid IL driver’s license. You’ll work outdoors in varying conditions and benefit from daily pay options and competitive shift differentials.

Join our dynamic Emergency Medical Services team, providing high-quality pre-hospital care and intra-facility patient transfers in accordance with state protocols and Loyola’s standards of excellence. Under general supervision, the paramedic delivers timely, compassionate, and clinically appropriate care while maintaining professional interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Where applicable and as required must maintain Continuing Education per the local Medical Control Authorities and the state’s Department of Consumer & Industry Services.
Physical demands including lifting, climbing, pushing, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching, and otherwise maneuvering heavy patients, with stretchers and equipment (at least 250 pounds). Must pass a pre-employment lift test.
Works outdoors, in weather common to the work location’s geographic area, on a regular basis. Exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue.
$18.16 - $28.14 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
