Job summary

PRN Ambulance is seeking Paramedics to join our growing team in California. Paramedics provide emergent and non-emergent medical care during transport, traveling to partner facilities, homes, and events as needed.

You will work with EMTs and other clinicians, deliver high quality life support, and maintain required certifications and licenses. The role offers competitive pay and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program.
• Current CA driver’s license and EMT-P certification.
• CPR, PALS and ACLS certifications up to date.
• California DL 61 and DL51 certificates held/maintained.
• LADOT Ambulance Driver Permit current.
• Must maintain required training and continuing education.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Respond to BLS, ALS and scene calls for emergent and non-emergent transports.
• Provide high-quality basic and advanced life support per policy and scope.
• Travel to partner facilities, patient homes, and events as needed.
• Maintain and renew certifications and licenses as required.
• Coordinate with EMTs and clinicians to ensure patient care standards.

Compensation: $33.29-$40.18 per hour.

Job Summary

Paramedics provide emergent and non-emergent medical care to patients being transported by PRN Ambulance. Paramedics for PRN travel to partner facilities, patient homes, and/or events requiring services. In partnership with an EMT or other qualified clinicians, PRN Paramedics provide quality care to the treatment level required.

• Respond to BLS, ALS, and CCT emergent and non-emergent transports and scene calls
• Provide high quality, routine and emergent basic and advanced life support, in accordance with CA Title 22, local scope of practice and PRN policy
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program
• Must be able to communicate and understand English, verbally and written
• Two (2) or more years of driving experience
• Must possess or receive, and maintain, current certification/licensure in the following:
• Current and valid California driver’s license
• EMT-P certification
• CPR through the American Heart Association (instructor-based with AED)
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• California Ambulance Driver Certificate (DL 61)
• DL51 (Medical Examiners Certificate)
• LADOT Ambulance Driver Permit
• Must be current in local, state and federally mandated training
• Must maintain current industry standards through continuing education
• Must have completed all mandatory training including mandatory testing
• Other state or county certifications, as required
