Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic certification by the State of North Carolina required.
• Current BLS certification as sponsored by American Heart Association required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a paramedic.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, with higher capacity as needed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record and update vital signs.
• Monitor respiratory status and start oxygen therapy per protocol.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring and notify RN/provider of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications as delegated by RN or provider.
• Assist in airway management and suctioning.
• Transports patients and communicates with care team.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
