Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic for a full-time role. We seek individuals with strong patient-care focus who can lead on-scene and drive ambulances on 911 responses. Required licenses and certifications include State Paramedic License, State Driver’s License, BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic, and a valid driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Paramedic License required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
• Driving record must meet company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test required.
• Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action with Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with other health and safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
