Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Paramedic to join our Transport EMS team. This full-time role (36 hours across 3 days) provides advanced life support and direct patient care under medical direction.

You will perform ambulance transport, document patient care reports, maintain vehicle readiness, and coordinate resources. Required Kentucky paramedic license, BLS, and PALS/ACLS certifications; a high school diploma and a valid driver's license are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Paramedic license through the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
• PALS & ACLS certifications.
• Additional certifications and specialty training as required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within department protocols and scope of practice.
• Recognizes and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Completes documentation and patient care reports within required timeframe.
• Provides care appropriate to emergency population and maintains care environment.
• Performs ambulance transportation within Paramedic scope.
• Sets priorities for transport of multiple patients.
• Assures resources and coordinates plan of delivery.
• Maintains knowledge of fleet vehicles and ensures readiness.
• Ensures ambulance is clean, stocked and ready at start/end of shifts and before requests.
