Job summary

Ascension Health in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Paramedic/EMT to join the Emergency Department transport team. You will identify, intervene, and stabilize patients under physician and RN guidance.

You will initiate interventions per transport protocols, monitor patient conditions, educate patients and families, and ensure equipment safety for the team and public. Requirements include ALS within 6 months, BLS within 1 month, Indiana EMS credentials (paramedic preferred), HS diploma or higher, and

Qualifications

• ALS within 180 days of hire or transfer date
• BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer date
• EMT credentialed by Indiana Dept. of Homeland Security
• Paramedic credentialed by Indiana Dept. of Homeland Security
• Driver's License preferred
• Pediatric ALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient with physician/RN
• Initiate interventions per transport team protocols; monitor and communicate patient condition
• Provide population-specific education to patient and family
• Inspect and maintain equipment for safety of transport team, patients and public
