Job summary

Austin Radiological Association (ARA Diagnostic Imaging), a Radiology Partners practice, seeks a Paramedic to support diagnostic imaging operations in the Greater Austin area. You will assess patients, monitor safety, assist with IV insertion and contrast injections, and ensure equipment readiness in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Texas license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS or willingness to obtain certifications are required, with EMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized, approved Paramedic program.
• Current Texas State License.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS & PALS or willingness to obtain these certifications.
• One year of paramedic experience in EMS service and/or emergency room.
• Two years preferred intensive care or radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily check of supplies and equipment; monitors and maintains adequate levels and reorders as necessary.
• Assesses patients to obtain medical history, medications, allergies, etc.; completes screening form to determine contraindications for the procedure.
• Performs quality assurance of patient schedules; prepares for patient care including interventions, lab results, preps for sedation, verifies orders and implant screening with referring physician.
• Responsible for insertion and removal of IV catheters on patients per policy.
• Assists with injection of contrast material as needed; monitors patient postexam and acts to ensure safety.
