Job summary

Southern Manatee Fire Rescue is seeking a dedicated Paramedic or EMT to join the pre-hospital care team. You will provide basic and advanced life support, perform non-transport duties, and engage in fire suppression and public safety activities within the district.

The role requires knowledge of current EMS protocols, strong report writing, and the ability to work under pressure on 24/48 shifts. Eligibility includes Florida FF1/FF2 and CPR certifications, with credentialed Paramedic pay included.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent
• Minimum Florida Standards certification (FF1 & FF2)
• Current Florida Paramedic Certification (preferred) or EMT; ACLS for paramedic
• Current CPR certification (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire suppression and EMS incidents within district boundaries
• Provide basic and advanced life support and rescue services in the field
• Perform routine maintenance of station, apparatus and equipment when not engaged in emergencies
