Job summary

Manatee County Government is seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to provide Advanced Life Support and transportation under physician protocol. Duty includes ALS patient care, ECG interpretation, venous access, and rapid response in diverse settings within Manatee County, FL.

The role requires a Florida Paramedic license, ACLS, and EVOC within 30 days, with shifts on a 12-hour or 24-on/48-off basis. Employment is safety-sensitive and subject to screenings and driving record standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate/equivalent.
• Must pass department approved Agility Test.
• Current Florida Paramedic certification and ACLS.
• EVOC 16-hour course within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ALS care.
• Perform patient assessments, packaging, and extrication.
• Administer medications and advanced life support procedures.
• Drive and operate ambulances safely under Florida law.
• Complete patient care reports and maintain equipment and vehicle readiness.
