Job summary

Citrus County Government seeks a Transport Firefighter/Paramedic to deliver advanced medical care in emergencies and during fire/rescue operations. You will drive ambulances, apply life support, and coordinate care with hospitals while maintaining equipment and records.

Position requires Florida credentials, BLS/ACLS/EVOC, strong communication, and willingness to work a 24/48 schedule in a countywide program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have Florida driver license and be eligible for EMS credentials.
• NFPA 1582 standards knowledge preferred; BLS/ACLS/EVOC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls, operates ambulance, and provides prehospital care.
• Stabilizes patients, administers medications, and coordinates with hospitals.
• Maintains equipment, documents care, and complies with privacy regulations.
• Participates in training, shift briefings, and supports community safety events.
