Job summary

Montecito Fire Protection District is seeking a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic to respond to fires and medical emergencies, participate in training, prevention, and station maintenance, and support department operations under command staff. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
CA State Firefighter 1 Certificate or Firefighter 1 Academy.
CA EMT-Paramedic license.
Maintain Santa Barbara County Paramedic Accreditation.
Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED certification.
Valid California driver’s license (upon hire).
No felony convictions.

Responsibilities

Respond to fire incidents, emergency medical calls, and other emergencies to protect life, property, and the environment.
Participate in fire training, prevention, public education, and maintenance of stations and equipment.
Report to the company officer or acting captain.
Follow medical direction from Santa Barbara County EMSA protocols and the Department Medical Director.
