Job summary

Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is recruiting an EMT/Paramedic to support patient care under the guidance of licensed nursing staff and providers. The role includes performing EKGs, collecting specimens, and conducting rounded checks to ensure patient needs are met within policy guidelines.

The candidate will contribute to a team environment, communicate effectively with the care team, and uphold patient- and family-centered care aligned with Houston Methodist Experience standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EMT-A, EMT- Paramedic program or licensed Paramedic, and/or currently participating in an EMT to Paramedic program with classification of an EMT-Advanced.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care and services to a diverse patient population.
• Perform EKGs and collect lab specimens under direction of licensed nurse or provider.
• Conduct hourly rounding to meet patient needs and document data per policy and procedure.
• Communicate observations and patient problems to licensed staff and participate in patient care activities as outlined.
• Demonstrate patient and family centered care and uphold Houston Methodist Experience standards.
