Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an EMT/Paramedic to assist in patient care, perform 12 Lead EKGs, and collect lab specimens under supervision. The role supports patient and family centered care, communicates with the care team, and participates in hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met.

The position requires EMT-Paramedic certification or active EMT-Advanced status, BLS/ACLS/PALS within 3 months, and relevant pre-hospital or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EMT-A, EMT- Paramedic program or licensed Paramedic or currently in EMT to Paramedic program.
• Six months pre-hospital or hospital EMT/Paramedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under supervision.
• Perform EKGs and collect lab specimens.
• Communicate observations to licensed nurse or provider.
• Record data per policy and procedure and participate in hourly rounding.
