Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience including responding to accidents or emergencies.
• Experience operating a patient transport vehicle.
• Providing advanced life support to patients.

Responsibilities

• Responds to the site of accidents or other emergencies involving injury, illness, or potential environmental risks.
• Assesses condition of patient(s) and selects appropriate protocols under given circumstances.
• Triages patients to determine treatment/transport priority and notifies ER of possible Mass Casualty Incident.
• Recognizes, stabilizes, and treats a wide variety of medical emergencies (heart attacks, strokes, heat-related conditions, burns, etc.).
• Maintains Emergency Vehicles (EV) readiness and inspects vehicles for repairs.
• Operates EV safely and adheres to traffic regulations for vehicle operation.
