Responsibilities

• Conducts a complete examination of the patient to determine nature and seriousness of the condition.
• Determines treatment priorities for multi-injury patients and uses EMT equipment during transport.
• Navigates emergency vehicles via direct routes based on traffic and hospital locations.
• Cleans and disinfects patient transport vehicles per MTF guidelines.
• Delivers direct patient care within the Emergency Department per EMT scope of practice.
• Takes and monitors patient vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
