Shenandoah Medical Center is seeking an EMT-Paramedic to provide emergency and non-emergency medical care as part of its authorized service program. You will perform rapid surveys, initial stabilization and field triage to rapidly transport patients to the closest appropriate hospital.

Maintain ambulance readiness, document patient status, collaborate with the care team and uphold safety standards. Requires paramedic certification and current Basic Life Support; two years of pre-hospital

Qualifikationen

• Paramedic certification required.
• Two years of recent pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, other certifications listed as Preferred are Emergency Medical Tech and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

• Performs rapid primary surveys and accurate secondary surveys.
• Provides pre-hospital stabilization and rapid transport to hospital.
• Maintains ambulance readiness and proper documentation of patient status.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.
• Performs emergency treatment within scope of practice.
• Documents patient assessments and ensures shift-end reporting and certification maintenance.
• Promotes patient and staff safety and adheres to infection control procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
