Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a full-time faculty member in Emergency Medical Technology to deliver didactic material, demonstrate psychomotor skills, verify proficiency, and support faculty development across campus locations.

The Instructor will coordinate, plan, present, and evaluate classroom and lab instruction, manage duties day, evening, or weekend as assigned, and act as a liaison with students, the local medical community, and EMS leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unencumbered Tennessee Paramedic License with Instructor/Coordinator endorsement.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing.
• General experience using various computer software and applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers information on Emergency Medical Services topics.
• Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades student work; communicates progress promptly.
• Maintains office hours for student advising and guidance.
• Maintains attendance records, grades, and other required records.
• Keeps current license/certification in the profession.
• Attends faculty meetings and participates in professional development.
• Participates in departmental and college committees and community outreach.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
