The Tennessee Board of Regents seeks an Instructor in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for a 9/10 month term. You will deliver quality EMS instruction, assist with curriculum development, advise students, and coordinate clinical placements from the assigned campus.
You will remain current in EMS teaching areas through professional development, use the LMS for course materials, and ensure timely grading and reporting. Open until filled; pay range shown.
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The role includes supporting curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation; advising students; coordinating clinical site placements; and contributing to service activities that advance the mission of the College.
Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location. Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location. Other instructional delivery modes, such as online, hybrid or web-enhanced, taught from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location, may be assigned based on operational needs, as determined by the College. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities. Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Work with students as academic advisor as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
Knowledge and/or experience delivering effective instruction in a variety of formats, including asynchronous online, traditional on-ground, hybrid. Ability to use a learning management system for course delivery and maintenance of course records. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and any technologies or software pertinent to the subject area of instruction.

Rate of Pay: $48,421.00 - $60,526.00 depending on experience
