Join Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital as a Paramedic in the Emergency Department and contribute to world-class care in a Magnet-designated facility. This role focuses on rapid assessment, patient stabilization and collaboration with nurses and physicians to deliver timely interventions.

You will support EKGs, ARAs, airway management and critical care procedures in a fast-paced ED, with daily 7:00am–7:00pm hours and opportunities to expand competencies under seasoned staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic Training Program.
• Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) in Ohio.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS Certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, CPR and phlebotomy and oral, nasal and/or ET suctioning.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring, oxygen therapy and saline locks.
• Notify the RN and/or physician of rhythm changes.
• Apply orthopaedic appliances and simple splints.
• Size crutches and teach crutch walking.
• Assist with equipment setup, chest tubes, gastric lavage, LP, etc.
• Assist with restraint and seclusion of patients and apply restraint devices.
• Transport patients and specimens.
• Assist with sterile procedures and cleaning/maintaining supplies and equipment.
• Perform fluid/drug administration.
