Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Paramedic course approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
• One year of recent field experience as an EMT within the past five years.

Position Details:

• Location: Summa Health System, Wadsworth Campus
• Part Time, 24 Hours/Week, 7p-7:30a

Job Summary:

Provides assistance to Emergency Department physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists in pre-hospital and ED triage, stabilization, and patient transport.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS approved Paramedic course and current certification by the State of Ohio.
• One (1) year of recent field experience as an EMT within the past five years.
• Current certification in BLS-HCP and ACLS; PALS certification may be required depending on location.
• Additional certifications as required by the department.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, respecting their dignity and needs.

Physical Demands:

• Heavy exertion: lifting 50-100 pounds occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, and 10-20 pounds continuously.
• Ability to move and lift patients.

Salary range: $22.39/hr - $26.87/hr, based on experience and location. The listed range is the full base salary range; actual offers consider experience and internal equity.
