As a Paramedic in the Emergency Department, you will provide emergency treatment to patients in need of immediate attention, working alongside a passionate team and making a lasting difference in your community.

Shift Options

This position offers day shifts from 11:00AM – 11:30PM or 9:00AM – 9:30PM, and night shifts from 7:00AM – 7:30PM or 9:00AM – 9:30PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Obtain and record vital signs, perform EKGs, CPR, phlebotomy, and suctioning.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring, oxygen therapy, and saline locks.
• Notify RN or physician of rhythm changes.
• Apply orthopedic appliances and simple splints.
• Assist with equipment setup and sterile procedures.
• Transport patients and specimens.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy.
• Perform fluid and drug administration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic Training Program.
• Current Ohio licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Clinical experience through an EMS Paramedic Training Program.

Preferred Qualifications

• International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Certification.
• One year of experience as an EMT-P.

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Full body motion to move and lift patients, extensive standing and walking.
• Exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently.
• Use of personal protective equipment as required.
