Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients.
• Identify, intervene, and stabilize ill or injured patients under the supervision of a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
• Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment.
• Provide education to patients and families about illnesses and therapies.
• Maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety for all.

Minimum Requirements

• Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Licensed Paramedic credential from the Tennessee EMS Division prior to employment.

Education

• High School diploma with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.
