Job Summary And Qualifications
Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for professional nursing care of patients within an assigned department.
What you will do in this role:
- Achieving professional goals set during previous evaluation period
- Applies the nursing process to a group of patients.
- Participates and facilitates in the case management process and cost containment for patients.
- Cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations
- Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Documents all aspects of patient care efficiently and effectively.
- Assigns and/or delegates patient care assignments to licensed and non‑licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of the patient, staff availability and qualifications.
- Demonstrates professional practice and always conducts.
- Participates in Performance Improvement as appropriate.
- Demonstrates critical care skills for managing acutely ill patients.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP)
- Certificate
- High School Graduate / GED
