Job summary

Methodist Converse FSED in Converse, TX is seeking an ED Paramedic to support rapid assessment and treatment in our 24/7 emergency center. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and coordinate with hospital partners.

The role requires Texas Paramedic certification, EMT-P, BLS, and within specified timelines ACLS and PALS. You'll participate in CQI projects, maintain clinical competence, and use SBAR for clear communication, attending meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Texas Paramedic certification (EMT-P) required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Attend meetings and in‑services as required by departmental policy.

Qualifications you will need:

• Education: Current certification/Licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic. EMT-P required. Current BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital.
• Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP), No Travel Required.
• 2 years experience required.

Methodist ER Converse serves the Converse and surrounding area with our 24/7 freestanding emergency center. This 12,650 square-foot facility features 12 all-private treatment rooms and a full range of services such as radiology, full-service laboratory, telemetry, immediate intervention for serious emergencies, and 24-hour monitoring and testing of cardiac patients. We also offer unique use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS), which allows staff to electronically transmit diagnostic images from Methodist ER Converse to any Methodist credentialed physician's office, specialist or any Methodist hospital emergency room for seamless follow-up.
